Do you remember when Terminator hit the box office, followed by a sequel?
What a movie!
What a story!
A mother protecting the future of the human race.
Or more importantly protecting the future of her son and his destiny.
Hmmm… Could there be something prophetic in this movie …especially the sequel?
My first reaction was “Wow, what’s going on here.”
But after a few viewings I remember feeling a kinship with the leading lady. There was something about this plot that was true.
But I did not understand it….. until recently.
Prophetic?
Definitely!
Because now we know about artificial intelligence.
Science fiction has become fact.
Countries are battling to be first in creating super human machines (robots or hybrids of humans with implants). Super strong soldiers to be used on the battlefield of war.
So now …here we are, you and I, Mothers on the front lines.
Perhaps we are a little like the heroine of the movie, fighting for the survival of the human race as we know it.
Fighting for the destinies of our sons and daughters.
Interceding for that pure, unadulterated God given seed.
This year let’s have a scripture for our motto.
Let’s make it our continued declaration:
“The seed of the righteous is mighty in the land”.
It is a truth worth fighting for.
